Joe's Top Priorities

  • Household Affordability and Cost of Living

  • Public Safety

  • Jobs, Economic Growth and Support for Small Business

  • Healthcare Access and Services

  • Infrastructure and Rural Services

Household Affordability and Cost of Living

Many in the district are struggling with rising costs for everyday necessities including groceries, energy, housing, childcare and transportation. People want lawmakers to pursue real economic relief, lower property taxes, reduce unnecessary fees and curb inflationary pressures so families have more breathing room financially. Many have publicly emphasized the need for immediate affordability solutions.

Public Safety

Safety in towns and villages is a major concern for people across the political spectrum. Residents want effective public safety policies that protect communities but also respect rights. They want more resources for local law enforcement, clearer sentencing laws, and programs that reduce repeat crimes without overburdening local budgets.

Jobs, Economic Growth and Support for Small Business

In a largely rural district, people want state support for job creation, stronger rural economic development, and help for local small businesses to grow and compete. Broader economic uncertainty makes employment stability a top concern, along with incentives that keep wages up and attract employers.

Healthcare Access and Services

Healthcare access is an ongoing issue, particularly for older adults in rural parts of the district. Statewide patterns show nursing homes and rural health facilities under strain, and many locals want stronger Medicaid support, better reimbursements so facilities stay open, and more services for aging residents without forcing them to travel far from home.

Infrastructure and Rural Services

Better roads, bridges and broadband access are top priorities. Reliable high-speed internet is essential for education, work, telehealth and business growth, yet gaps persist across upstate areas. People want state leadership to ensure modern infrastructure reaches every community and that water systems and other essential services are upgraded and funded.

Tenets

Our campaign is rooted in a simple promise: Put community first. We believe local government should be transparent, responsive and focused on the everyday needs of the people who live here.

Supporting First Responders

We'll continue to champion the police, volunteer EMS and fire departments that keep us safe - ensuring they have the resources and respect they deserve.

Fixing What's Broken

From roads to water systems - I'll stay connected to workforce and capabilities and prioritize practical solutions that improve our quality of life.

Trust in Leadership

I'm against decisions being made behind closed doors with your tax dollars. We'll bring accountability and open communication and engage in regular town halls.

Community

Whether you've lived here for generations, or just moved in your voice matters. I'll listen, include, and act with fairness. Parks, recreation and community events will be a priority.

Agriculture

I will continue to support the backbone of our district by protecting our farms, supporting local growers, and agricultural innovation.

Opportunity

I believe in building a community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed - whether on the farm, in business, or in the classroom.
